LOCAL 212 A YEAR IN REVIEW 2024
IATSE 212 2024 A REMARKABLE YEAR IN REVIEW 2024 was the most remarkable year in Local 212's 114-year history. Among the historic achievements, Local 212 opened a new training facility and office building, hosted an International Board Meeting and signed a historic Agreement with Netflix. On top of that we saw a number of new faces come to join the Local 212 staff team. To say it was an eventful year would be an understatement. January Trade Mission to Los Angeles President Petti with Michael Dunphy -Teamsters 362, Jyoti Gondek -Mayor of Calgary, Luke Azevedo -Calgary Film Commission, Tina Alford -ACTRA Alberta and Lisa Pearl-Whitten -DGC-ADC. The Year began with a slow start in terms of work but a very successful trade mission to Los Angeles brought the optimism of many leads and follow-ups that would help to bring a busy summer, despite an ongoing global production slowdown.
