Local 212 Members Check Out their new Headquarters and Training Spaces!

On July 14th 2024 Local 212 Members toured their newly built offices and training complex. This is a proud and historic moment! We will be posting many interior shots of the complex during our opening week.

After many years of planning, searching for land and meeting numerous budgetary and design requirements, Local 212 is proud to announce that its new training facility and office building is now open for business!



On Saturday July 20th, 2024 International President, Matthew Loeb will cut the ribbon on the brand new building.  The Building was dedicated to the advancement and well being of entertainment professionals in Southern Alberta and to provide world class skills training in support of a healthy industry. 

Construction began after a ground-breaking ceremony on April 17, 2023

Studio Space 

A lighting catwalk completed with fall arrest, circuitry  

A small 2 story studio space will allow for theatrical and motion picture lighting, fall arrest rigging and rescue training. 

Industry Open House 
On July 15th an Industry Open House will take place from 4 to 6 PM.  Elder Jackson Wesley will provide a First Nations blessing at 4:30 PM.


Ribbon Cutting 
President Loeb. will be cutting  the ribbon at the Building dedication ceremony to take place on July 20th. 

Parking / EV charging
Local 212 Members and guests will have access to plenty of parking and Electric Vehicle Charging
